In this article, we’ll tackle the following which are prerequisites in many processes where an employee is associated.
Necessary Admin Setup
These three must be set up by someone with administrative access before proceeding with modifying employee profiles.
- Navigate to the Setup section
- Select the Admin module from the side menu.
- Go to the SETUP tab.
- Schedule Type(s)
- Select Schedule Types on the list of items.
- To create a new one, fill out the text field with the appropriate value.
- Confirm if it schedule, then click button.
- To update, click the pen icon next to the icon, proceed with the modification then click button.
- If the item hasn’t been used previously, it can still be removed by clicking .
- Crew Type(s)
- Select Crew Types on the list of items
- To create a new one, fill out the text field with the appropriate value.
- Confirm if it role, then click button.
- To update, click the pen icon next to the icon, proceed with the modification then click button.
- If the item hasn’t been used previously, it can still be removed by clicking
- Employee Shift(s)
- Select Employee Shift on the list of items
- To create a new one, fill out the text field with the appropriate value.
- Confirm if it role, then click button.
- To update, click the pen icon next to the icon, proceed with the modification then click button.
- If the item hasn’t been used previously, it can still be removed by clicking
Setup Employee’s Shift
To setup each employee’s shift,
- Select Employees from the main menu to get to this list. From here, you can see the Shift column on the right.
- Aligned on the same row with the employee’s name, click the Shift field on the right, then select the value whether it’s “NONE”, “DAY SHIFT”, “NIGHT SHIFT” and it’ll be saved automatically.
Setup Employee’s Crew Type
To specify an employee’s crew type, this has to take place in his/her profile.
- Select Employees from the main menu then select the profile name from the list..
- From the profile’s detail view, click on the right.
- Now in edit mode, look for the Crew Type field and select the appropriate value.
Setup Employee’s Schedule
To set up an employee’s schedule,
- Select Employees from the main menu then select the profile name from the list.
- From the profile’s detail view, click on the right.
- Select the name of the project to create the schedule for, then click CREATE.
- Once you create an item, it’ll be an empty schedule and by default it’s in edit mode. Click to open a form.
- On the form, select the day(s) this schedule will be applicable, then set the start and end times.
- On the Schedule Type field, select whether it’s a break (rest, meal), regular working hours, etc. This is important in order for the schedule to be plotted properly.

- Then click CREATE and it will be added on the list of schedules.
- To update the schedule, click the aligned with it..
- To remove the schedule, click the aligned with it.
- In the illustration above, you’re still in Edit mode. To dismiss, click the button. Here’s the schedule laid out in a table.
