This article will tackle how an in-charge like an Administrator or a Training Specialist can perform the necessary setup to be able to create and conduct an actual training.
To get here, click Training Setup from the Servi-Trak main menu. This is composed of three sections: Categories, Modules and Module Items.
Module Items
Note: In Training Setup, you may consider starting from the smallest component to form a whole template.
Start by clicking the Module Items tab. Below are the sample items being included in a training. To create a new one, click
Create a New Module Item
- Type out the name of the item on the text field and click +Save once finished.
- This has a validation feature that checks if the item is already existing and if it does, the text field will have a red borderline and the submit button will remain disabled.
Update Item
When you click the button aligned with each item, you’ll be routed to the edit screen. Here you may modify the name of the item and link resource/s to the item as a training material. On the left column are the options of the available materials.
- To link, select an item from the options then drag and drop it to the Resources column.
- To unlink, just the drag and drop the item back to the Options column.
- To save the changes, click the
button.
The illustration below shows an item from the ‘Options’ being dragged into the ‘Resources’ column.
Modules
Next are the modules in which the training items will be grouped. To get here, just click the Modules tab. To start creating a new one, click
Create a New Module
Same with the training items, a dialog box will appear.
- Type out the name of the item on the text field and click +Save once finished.
- This has a validation feature that checks if the module already exists and if it does, the text field will have a red borderline and the submit button will remain disabled.
Update Module
Just click the button aligned with each item to modify the module’s name. Then click the button to save the changes.
Categories
Modules and items are now ready to form a template to be used in training/s. To get started, just click the Categories tab and start creating a new template by clicking the “ + ” button.
Create a New Category/Template
- First, add the Name of the training.
- Then add a Module to be included in the training. Just click the button that says + ADD MODULE.
- There will be a text field that will appear and then a dropdown will follow listing options based on your inputs. - Next, add an Item to be included in a specific module. Just click the button that says +ADD ITEM.
- Similarly, there will be a text field that will appear and then a dropdown will follow listing options based on your inputs. - Save changes by clicking
button.
Update Category/Template
- From the list view, to update or modify a template just click the
button, and you’ll be routed to the same screen during category creation.
- To just view the template, just click the
button.
